# Verified Remediation > Find mold remediation professionals near you. Every listing is identity-checked, with state licenses, insurance, and reviews verified where available. Verified Remediation is a mold remediation marketplace that connects homeowners with verified mold professionals. We aggregate fragmented state licensing databases, industry certifications (IICRC, NORMI), and insurance compliance into a single source of truth. ## What "verified" means here Listings carry up to three signals. Which ones are available depends on the state and on the provider, so these are reported per listing rather than claimed for the catalog as a whole: - **State Licensed**: Only a handful of jurisdictions license mold work (FL, NY, TX, LA, DC). In those, license records come from the state's own database (FL DBPR, TX TDLR, NY DOL) and expirations are tracked daily, so a lapsed license does not sit on the site looking current. Most states do not license mold work at all, and this signal is unavailable there. - **Insured**: Pollution liability and general liability, confirmed from a certificate of insurance. Verified for a minority of listings, not all. - **Rated**: Google rating of 4.0+ with at least 5 reviews. ## Provider Tiers - **Tier A (Clinical Grade)**: Licensed + Insured + Rated (4.0+ stars, 5+ reviews) - **Tier B (Advanced Verified)**: Licensed + Insured, insufficient reviews yet - **Tier C (Verified Pro)**: Licensed only, or identity-verified in states that do not license mold work ## Coverage - 19,600+ providers across all 50 states + DC - City-level pages for 100+ metro areas - Both mold remediation and mold assessment/testing professionals ## Key Distinction We explicitly separate mold assessors (testing) from mold remediators (removal) to educate consumers about conflict of interest: the company that tests for mold should not be the same company that removes it. ## Identification & Diagnosis - [How to Get Rid of Mold: The Step-by-Step Protocol (2026)](https://www.verifiedremediation.com/guides/how-to-get-rid-of-mold): Step-by-step mold protocol: find the moisture source first, then DIY for under 10 sq ft on hard surfaces, then call a pro.
