Verified Remediation

Add your request form button to your website

These steps are for the business owner or whoever looks after their website. Owners: your code is in your request form dashboard. Web people: it's in the email the business sent you. It looks like the example below, with the business's own key in place of YOUR_KEY.

Example code

<script async src="https://www.verifiedremediation.com/embed/loader.js" data-vr-key="YOUR_KEY"></script>

WordPress

Steps

  1. Add a header and footer code plugin if your site has none, such as WPCode or "Simple Custom CSS and JS".
  2. Add a new code snippet, paste the code, and set it to load on every page, in the footer.
  3. Using Elementor Pro? Go to Elementor, then Custom Code, paste the code and set its location to "Body end".
  4. Save, then open your website to check the button shows.

Watch out for

  • Don't paste it into your theme's files. The next theme update would remove it.
  • Speed plugins like WP Rocket can "delay JavaScript", so the button shows only after a visitor scrolls or clicks. Add verifiedremediation.com/embed/loader.js to the list of scripts it should not delay.

Wix

Steps

  1. In your Wix dashboard, open Settings, then Custom code.
  2. Choose Add code and paste the code.
  3. Set it to all pages, load code once, and place it at Body end.
  4. For the code type, pick "Functional", then apply.

Watch out for

  • Custom code needs a paid Wix plan with a connected domain.
  • Pick "Functional", not "Essential". We set no cookies on your site, but which category it belongs in is your call.

Webflow

Steps

  1. Open your site settings, then Custom code.
  2. Paste the code into Footer code and save.
  3. Publish your site.

Watch out for

  • Custom code needs a paid Webflow site plan.

Duda

Steps

  1. Open your site settings, then the HTML head and body-end code section.
  2. Paste the code into the body-end box and save.
  3. Republish your site.

Watch out for

  • Sites built for you by Hibu, LocalEdge and similar companies are usually locked. Send them the setup guide and ask them to add it.

GoDaddy

Steps

  1. In the website builder, add a section and choose HTML.
  2. Paste the code into it and save.
  3. Publish. The code moves the button onto the page itself, so the section stays empty.

Watch out for

  • If the button doesn't show on every page, add the plain link below as a menu item instead.

Something else

Steps

  1. Paste the code just before </body> on every page, or into a footer file every page includes.
  2. On a single-page app, call VRRequest.destroy() when the part of the app that loaded it goes away.
  3. Publish, then open your site to check the button shows.

Watch out for

  • If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy, allow https://www.verifiedremediation.com in script-src and frame-src. If its script-src uses nonces or 'strict-dynamic', also add your nonce to the script tag.

A plain link opens the same form in a new tab. Add it as a menu item or a button on your contact page.

<a href="https://www.verifiedremediation.com/embed/request/YOUR_KEY?ch=website_link" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" data-vr-open>Request a visit</a>

Content-Security-Policy

If your site sends a Content-Security-Policy header, allow https://www.verifiedremediation.com in script-src and frame-src. If its script-src uses nonces or 'strict-dynamic', a host allowlist is ignored there: also add your nonce to the script tag.

If the button does not show

  • Speed plugins that delay JavaScript (WP Rocket and similar) hold the button until a visitor scrolls or clicks. Exclude verifiedremediation.com/embed/loader.js.
  • Cloudflare Rocket Loader and plugins that combine scripts can break it. Exclude the same file, or turn the option off for it.
  • Cookie tools that block scripts until a visitor agrees (Cookiebot, CookieYes and others) hold it too. Categorize it honestly: it sets no cookies and is best described as Functional.
  • A theme that puts a transform or filter on the whole page can pin the button in the wrong place. Your web person can check for that.
  • Use the code exactly as copied, with the www in www.verifiedremediation.com. Typed without it, the button never appears.
  • Still nothing? The plain link always works, and your request form dashboard shows when the button was last seen on your site.
