Program Overview
Verified Remediation offers an SMS/text messaging program to facilitate communication between homeowners and verified mold remediation contractors on our platform. This page describes the terms and conditions governing our SMS communications.
Message Types
For Homeowners
If you opt in to receive SMS messages when submitting a service request, you may receive text messages regarding:
- Updates on your service request status
- Responses from contractors in your area
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Verification codes for account access
For Contractors
If you are a verified contractor who has opted in to SMS notifications, you may receive text messages regarding:
- New service requests matching your service area
- Request status updates and homeowner responses
- Important account and verification notifications
- Verification codes for account access
Consent
You consent to receive SMS messages from Verified Remediation by checking the SMS consent checkbox on any form on our platform.
Consent is not a condition of using our services or making a purchase. You may submit service requests, claim your contractor profile, and use all platform features without opting in to SMS communications.
Message Frequency
Homeowners: Typically 1–5 messages per service request.
Contractors: Message frequency varies depending on service request volume in your area.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard messaging rates apply to all messages sent and received. Verified Remediation does not charge any additional fees for SMS messages.
Opt-Out Instructions
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. You may also:
- Update your notification preferences in your account dashboard
- Contact us using the information provided below
After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further SMS messages from us (except one-time verification codes for actions you initiate, such as account login). To resume SMS messages, reply START to any previous message from us or re-enable SMS in your account settings.

Phone Number Protection
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are not sold, shared, or distributed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are only used to communicate directly with the user regarding the services they requested.
Third-party service providers (such as Twilio, our SMS delivery partner) may process your phone number only as necessary to deliver messages on our behalf. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
Supported Carriers
Our SMS program is compatible with all major U.S. mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
