Our Trust Standards

At Verified Remediation, we believe you deserve to know exactly who you're hiring. Learn how we verify contractors and what our tier rankings mean for your search.

The Trust Triad: Our Verification Promise

We verify every contractor across three critical areas. Only contractors who meet these standards appear in our directory.

State Licensed

Active, state-verified professional license

  • License verified directly from state regulatory databases
  • Daily automated checks against FL DBPR and TX TDLR
  • License number, type, and expiration date confirmed
  • Instant removal if license lapses, expires, or is revoked

Insured

Certificate of Insurance on file and verified

  • General liability insurance required
  • COI document uploaded and verified by our team
  • Coverage amounts and policy validity confirmed
  • Expiration tracking with renewal reminders

Highly Rated

4.0+ stars with at least 5 verified reviews

  • Rating sourced from Google Business Profile
  • Minimum 4.0 out of 5 star average required
  • At least 5 customer reviews needed
  • Ratings refresh regularly to stay current

Why this matters: Every contractor in our directory has been verified across the Trust Triad. This means you can search with confidence knowing every professional you see has active credentials, proper insurance coverage, and a proven track record with real customers.

Our Tier Ranking System

Contractors are ranked by their verification level. Higher tiers mean more verified trust signals, giving you better visibility into each contractor's credentials.

A

Tier A

Licensed + Insured + Rated

Complete Trust Triad Verification

Tier A contractors have verified all three Trust Triad components. They hold an active state license, have insurance on file, and maintain a strong rating with real customer reviews.

What this means for search ranking:

  • Highest visibility in search results
  • Premium placement in directory listings
  • Full Trust Triad badge displayed on profile
  • Priority consideration for lead distribution
B

Tier B

Licensed + Insured OR Rated

Partial Trust Triad Verification

Tier B contractors have a verified state license plus either insurance on file OR a strong Google rating. They meet two of our three verification standards.

What this means for search ranking:

  • Standard visibility in search results
  • Two Trust badges displayed on profile
  • Building toward Tier A status
  • Included in lead distribution pool
C

Tier C

Licensed Only

Minimum Verification Standard

Tier C contractors have a verified active state license, which is the minimum requirement to appear in our directory. They are building their verification profile.

What this means for search ranking:

  • Verified state license displayed
  • Listed in directory results
  • Opportunity to upgrade tier by adding insurance or reviews
  • Foundation for building trust profile

How Tier Affects Your Search Results

When you search for contractors in your area, results are sorted by tier level first. Tier A contractors appear at the top, followed by Tier B, then Tier C. Within each tier, contractors are sorted by additional factors like rating and review count. This ensures you always see the most verified contractors first.

Expanding Coverage

We're actively working to add more states to our verification network. Our goal is to provide comprehensive license verification coverage across the United States. Stay tuned as we expand to additional state regulatory databases.

Our License Kill Switch Policy

Your safety is our priority. Here's what happens when a contractor's license expires or is revoked.

1

License Issue Detected

Our automated systems check state databases daily. If a license is found to be expired, revoked, or suspended, the kill switch activates immediately.

2

Contractor Hidden from Directory

The contractor is instantly removed from all search results and directory listings. Their profile becomes invisible to homeowners searching for services.

3

Lead Distribution Stopped

No new leads are routed to the contractor. Any pending lead notifications are cancelled. This protects homeowners from being connected with unlicensed contractors.

4

Contractor Notified

We immediately notify the contractor via email about the license issue. The notification includes steps to verify their license status and resolve any discrepancies.

5

Re-Verification & Restoration

Once the license is renewed or the issue is resolved, the contractor can request re-verification. Upon successful verification, their profile is restored and lead distribution resumes.

Our Protection Promise

The kill switch runs automatically, 24/7. You never have to worry about being connected with an unlicensed contractor. If their credentials lapse even for a day, they're immediately removed from our platform until the issue is resolved.
