Best Mold Remediation Companies in Florida
17 companies across 14 Florida cities that are rated 4.5 or higher and hold an active state license. Every license number is printed below so you can check it yourself.
How this list is built
Two conditions, both checkable.
Florida is one of only five jurisdictions that license mold work, which means a Florida company can be checked against a government record in a way most of the country cannot. Every company below meets two conditions: a Google rating of 4.5 or higher, and at least one Florida mold license that is currently active and free of disciplinary flags.
Those two things are not the same, and a high rating does not imply the second. Across the Florida mold license records we hold, 36.4% have lapsed. A company can be excellent at the work and still be trading on an expired license, which is why the number and its expiry date are printed on every entry here rather than replaced with a badge.
What this list is not. It is not every good company in Florida. A company can be absent because we have not matched a license record to it yet, and that is a gap in our data rather than a judgement about the business. Use this as a starting point, not as a verdict on anyone left off it.

Why holding both licenses is worth knowing
When the company that tests for mold is also the company paid to remove it, the incentive runs toward finding more mold. Florida permits one company to hold both licenses, so this is legal and common, and it is not a reason to avoid the 4 companies above. It is a reason to ask one question: if they assess and then quote their own remediation, get the assessment priced separately, or get a second opinion from a company that only assesses.
Texas takes the other approach and prohibits the same company from doing both on one project. Our guide to assessors and remediators covers what that separation is worth and what to ask for.
Check any of these yourself
Take a license number from this page, or ask any company for theirs, and look it up against Florida’s own record. It takes about a minute, and you should not have to take anyone’s word for it, including ours.
